The training landscape is evolving, and False Bay TVET College is on the forefront, recognizing that the traditional school design isn't the only efficient means of learning. Their NCV programmes are designed for college students who would like to begin their journey towards a fulfilling profession early on.

CareersPortal.co.za had a chat with the Head of Office for Engineering Studies at False Bay College, about their range of courses.

False Bay's Engineering NCV programmes are supplied at two campuses: Westlake Campus and Khayelitsha Campus. These Engineering programmes are for a three-yr duration.

NCV Engineering Course Entry Prerequisites

These programs begin at NCV level 2 as well as minimum requirement would then be Grade 9 certificate with a pass in Arithmetic.

At the time the student finishes NCVLevel 2, they might then have attained a grade ten certificate. NCV Level 3 would NCV engineering be grade 11 and NCV Level four is grade twelve.

NCV Level 4 is at the exit level, remaining comparable to a Nationwide Senior Certificate (NSC).

Grade 9 is on NQF level 1. Our NCV programmes start NCV level two and that is equivalent to an NQF level 2.

On which type of scholars are fitted to these programmes, they say that the world is acknowledging that classic schooling just isn't always the only real strategy for starting to be an artisan or starting to be experienced so if a student knows from an early age what their pursuits are, the NCV programme is in fact perfectly fitted to that student.
